Restorative Dentistry

Restore Your Smile with Custom Dentures

Dentures are removable dental prosthetics designed to replace missing teeth and restore both the function and appearance of your smile. Whether you are missing several teeth or need a full set replaced, modern dentures offer a comfortable, natural-looking solution that can dramatically improve your quality of life.

We offer both full dentures for patients who have lost all of their teeth in an arch and partial dentures for those who still have some healthy natural teeth remaining. Each set is custom-crafted to match the shape of your mouth, the color of your gums, and the appearance of natural teeth.

At Peninsula Dentistry & Orthodontics, we use modern materials and precision techniques to create dentures that fit comfortably, look natural, and restore your ability to eat, speak, and smile with confidence. We work closely with each patient to ensure proper fit and long-term satisfaction.

How long do dentures last?
With proper care, a well-made set of dentures typically lasts 5 to 10 years. Over time, normal wear and changes to your jawbone and gum tissue may require relining, rebasing, or replacement. We recommend annual checkups so we can monitor the fit of your dentures and address any issues early.
How do I care for my dentures?
Rinse your dentures after eating, and brush them daily with a soft-bristle brush and denture cleaner (not regular toothpaste, which is too abrasive). Soak them overnight in water or a denture solution to maintain their shape. Also brush your gums, tongue, and any remaining natural teeth daily. Handle dentures carefully, as they can break if dropped.
Will my dentures look natural?
Yes. Modern dentures are designed with realistic tooth shapes, natural gum coloring, and lifelike translucency. We carefully select tooth shade, size, and arrangement to complement your facial features and give you a natural-looking smile. Most people will not be able to tell that you are wearing dentures.
Can I eat normally with dentures?
There is a short adjustment period when you first receive your dentures. We recommend starting with soft foods cut into small pieces and chewing on both sides of your mouth. As you become accustomed to your new dentures, you will be able to eat most foods comfortably. Very hard or sticky foods may still require some caution.
